Civica are currently successfully operating under a number of large Framework Agreements. Buying Solutions, Eduserv CHEST, CPC, ESPO, Becta and VSC UK.

Buying Solutions Framework Agreement

Buying Solutions are an Executive Agency of the Office of Government Commerce. They are the only Professional Buying Organization (PBO) in the public sector with a true national footprint. Buying Solutions grew out of CCTA & The Buying Agency and is manned wholly by Civil Servants. Funded by levy on Suppliers, their core aim is ‘Savings for the Nation’.

Buying Solutions develop and deliver procurement vehicles to provide compliant routes to market including Framework Agreements and Managed Services for example, the purchasing of wholesale energy on the open market. Within the ICT space they have engaged with numerous software vendors with a view to developing bulk licence agreements for the entire public sector and as a result have agreed a number of new generation agreements including the Microsoft PSA09 agreement.

After an exhaustive tender process Civica Services are delighted to have been chosen (March 2010) as one of the 10 Software Suppliers under the CITHS (Commercial IT Hardware & Software) framework (LOT3 specialist Channel Partners for Software) which is testament to our continued long term commitment to the Public Sector.

Becta/OGC Framework Agreement

The Software for Educational Institutions Framework is a Framework Agreement within Catalist, awarded by Buying Solutions to successful Contractors following a fully EU compliant competition. The three year agreement was awarded Civica in October 2008.
The Becta framework is designed to provide public sector organisations with a simplified means of ordering Software and Associated Services. The framework offers a broad range of commercial, off-the-shelf software and licences together with a range of value-adding support services to educational institutions in the UK.

ESPO

ESPO is a joint Committee of Local Authorities and operates within the Local Government (Goods & Services) Act 1970. It acts as a purchasing agent for its member authorities and other customers and provides a professional cost effective procurement and supply service.

Civica were awarded the contract under this framework agreement for the Microsoft and Anti Virus software groups in January 2009.
